Ripley Netball Club
Our people
The club is run entirely by volunteers. Between them our coaches cover every squad, every week.

Founder, Chairperson & Head Coach
I’m incredibly proud to have founded the club in 1994 and to see how much it has grown over the years. It’s been wonderful watching our players develop and progress, both on and off the court, and one of the most rewarding things has been seeing the many lasting friendships that have been formed through the club.

Eran Warren
Coach, Treasurer & Club Secretary
Having been a member of the club since summer 1994, I am still so proud to be part of our community. Our grassroots club revolves around inclusion rather than focussing on results — albeit we do like a win too!
I have made life-long friends, and I can see this happening throughout the club, which is so heart-warming. You see people change when they are involved in sport, and the impact it has is just incredible at times. Shy children come to us and evolve into confident young adults; the transformation is remarkable. We encourage dedication, hard work, being the best you can be, and kindness — and a bit of banter along the way. Everyone is welcome.

Netball has been a huge part of my life since I first started playing at school at the age of 13. For more than 28 years I have been proud to be a member of Ripley Netball Club — a club that has shaped not only my sporting journey but also my life.
I began as a player and soon developed a passion for coaching, gaining my Level 1 coaching qualification while still playing. When I was no longer able to play competitively, I focused my energy on coaching and achieved my Level 2. Since then I have had the privilege of coaching players of all ages and abilities, from young children taking their first steps into the game to adults and regional-level athletes.
What makes Ripley Netball Club so special is that it is far more than a netball club. It is a community, a support network, and a family. Over the years I have watched young players grow in confidence, move away to university, and then return years later with families of their own. Seeing their children join the club and discover the same love for netball is one of the most rewarding parts of being involved.
As I have grown older I have become increasingly grateful for everything the club has given me. The friendships, the memories, the support and the sense of belonging are invaluable. Ripley Netball Club truly is one big family, and I am incredibly proud to have played, coached and grown alongside so many wonderful people over the years.
Ripley Netball Club isn’t just where I coach. It’s my second family, and I’m proud to be part of its past, present and future.

I really enjoy being part of Ripley Netball Club. I’ve made some long-lasting friendships, had great fun, and felt the benefits to my health and fitness, both physical and mental.
The club feels like being part of a family. It’s fun, it’s challenging, and there’s a place for everyone in a team, whatever your ability or age.
I first joined in my twenties, before getting married and starting a family, then returned in my thirties with both my daughters. I was encouraged to take on all sorts of roles and responsibilities in the club, including team managing, coaching (Level 1) and qualifying as a C Award umpire. I’ve played in various positions on court, and I’ve had the privilege of playing alongside both my daughters.

Being part of Ripley Netball Club is fantastic. I started as a junior and have grown with the club ever since, making lifelong friends along the way. I love playing, managing and coaching, and it’s brilliant seeing players develop their skills on court and build genuine friendships off it.

I’ve been part of Ripley Netball Club for around 20 years, on and off, and it has become a very special part of my life. I coach the younger squads, which I absolutely love, and I’m still playing myself. Both of my daughters have been, or still are, part of the club, which makes it even more meaningful to me. Over the years I’ve made some amazing friendships, and I’m proud to keep supporting the club and the wider community.
All of our coaches coach and manage every team. It is deliberate — it means everyone gets seen, and no squad depends on one person being available.
Safeguarding
We are an England Netball CAPS Silver accredited club, which means our coaching, umpiring, child protection and first aid qualifications are checked and kept current. Every player, parent and spectator signs up to a code of conduct.
If you have a concern about a child at the club, please raise it with us straight away — email hello@ripleynetballclub.uk or speak to any of our coaches.
